🪶 “Paradise Bird” scavenger
🪶 Habitat — tropical islands
🪶 Rarely hunt living prey themselves, but may stalk travelers if they are certain the victims are already as good as dead
🪶 Live in small groups: 1 male and 2–4 females
🪶 A tournament species, so males are very bright and conspicuous, while females look much more modest
🪶 Due to their lifestyle and diet, their saliva is extremely infectious
🪶 Immune to poisoning
🪶 Their feathers are highly valued as decorative and ornamental elements
